Spring Craft Day: Create Your Own Layered Shadow Box!
Description of Activity:
Join your fellow CRTA Members for a relaxing and creative Shadow Box Craft Day on April 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Rosewood Craft Room, Building 2000, 151 Country Village Road NE. Dial # 403-771-2836 to be buzzed into the building.
This unique painting activity is completed in layers that, when assembled, form a beautiful dimensional picture. No painting experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm! This is a fun, stress-free activity that delivers wonderful results you’ll be proud to display.
Participants will be able to choose from a variety of shadow box kits, ensuring there’s a design for everyone.
Event Schedule
- 11:00 AM – Welcome with assorted muffins, loaves and coffee or tea
- Demonstration of two completed shadow boxes and overview of the process
- Crafting session (shadow boxes take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to complete)
- 12:30 PM – Lunch break featuring assorted sandwiches, chips, juice, and cookies for dessert
- Continue crafting and socializing until 2:00 PM
Parking
Plenty of parking is available on site within the condo complex, with additional street parking nearby.
Additional Information
Photos will be taken during the event and may appear online or in the CRTA newsletter. Please inform the organizer if you prefer not to be included in photographs.
All registrations are transferable but not refundable. Prompt payment is appreciated.
