The Position: Title: Educator, Never Too Late (NTL) Job Type: Contract

Catholic Family Service is searching for a part time (6 hours/wk) Educator/Teacher for Community Services, Never Too Late program. The Social Studies & English Educator will have a key role on instructing adult learners who are seeking completion of their General Equivalency Diploma (GED). The Never Too Late Program offers adult learners the opportunity for preparation classes for the GED exam, on Monday and Wednesday evenings in a group setting. Never Too Late is a community-based program that supports adults living in selected Northwest communities who want to complete their (GED). Students receive GED preparation courses, funding for the GED exam, extra tutoring, and other social and emotional supports that are necessary for students to succeed. Never Too Late is proven to improve self-esteem and greatly increases the success rate for adults who write the GED exam. Reporting to the supervisor of NTL, the successful candidate will demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to agency values and a guiding principle of relationship building. Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent1-3 years experience with mature studentsAbility to work assertively and independentlyEvening availability on Mondays and Wednesdays, and some weekends during exam timeValid driver's license and reliable vehicle1-3 years experience with High School level English and Social StudiesExcellent communication skillsEligibility for registration with a professional association
